Good afternoon, I am here to express gratitude for making today's program a cherished experience. On behalf of the institution I thank our chief guest Dr. SS Gokhale the director of NIT, Calicut who has willingly spared time to honour our students 'achievements.___ ___ __ ____ __. Our school management headed by our chairman Mr. VK Eradi has been of constant support to all our endeavors. I am grateful to the management for providing the gift coupons and medals to our meritorious students. I also thank them for their gracious presence and benevolent patronage.
This year is special; our board results have surpassed all our previous records conquering new heights. utilize this opportunity to thank our principal Mrs. Beena Gokhale who has led the students and teachers to this remarkable achievement as our school reached zenith in the all India CBSE examinations. The competitive edge and the continual inspiration supplied by our principal is invaluable and deserves immense gratitude. She has helped us imbibe the value of discipline, increasing our efficiency and competence in a breathtaking scale. Ma'am I once again convey deep gratitude for bringing out the best in all of us.
The teachers have sacrificed their time, their holidays and on top of it they have spent extra energy taking special classes and tuitions. They leave no stone unturned in shaping us to everlasting glory. I thank our industrious team of teachers' whose effort is clearly reflected by our young achievers.
I thank my fellow seniors who are on top of the heap. A remarkable example will be none other than Aruna Kesavan who has inspired the whole school with her exemplary performance. I express thanks to the parents for being a source of encouragement and assistance.
The time has come to prove our part. A promise is made in this exhilarating environment. We shall bring glory to the school and to ourselves as we take on a challenging year which has been conquered by our seniors. We follow their footsteps believing that records are set to be shattered. This tradition set will be followed as we chant to ourselves "success is an output of hard work" therefore we will work, do hard work.
Thank you all

Politicians and bureaucrats are vested with immense power and authority. Their job profiles are interesting, national development, managing public works, strive to lift poverty and impart development, but the perks which lie hidden in their authoritative jobs is the vast ocean of tax payer's money and swarms of government employees at one's disposal. Power has a seductive charm which lures selfish minds into being corrupted.
In order to understand the immense diversity of its origins, forms and effects across developing countries, we should examine the roles of both the internal 'stakeholders' in developing societies (such as politicians, business cliques and junior civil servants) as well as external factors (including western multinational companies and international financial institutions). In addition, reform strategies should take account of widely differing economic, legal and political contexts.
Meanwhile nepotism a form of corruption where one uses the powers granted to him and appoints their relatives to various positions. It is an unfair process where those who right fully deserve the positions are put in stake. It produces inefficient work forces and a scramble for the so called recommendations.
Corruption and nepotism are social evils that ought to be uprooted from our society. It curbs social development and well being of citizens. The power to fight this evil lies solely with the future citizens and leaders which constitute all of us. There is a crime behind every fortune that maybe true to an extent but it is easily contradicted as truth is ever triumphant.

A mundane life
Breaks apart at a point of time
It seeks a world
Another world for the fevered mind to feast upon
The sheer power and the portrayal of wrath
Attracts the mind to the darker side
Is its existence limited to the fantasy world?
Of dread lords and warlocks of infinite power
Consider a parallel universe
And this idea will appeal to all.
The world as of now laughs at what seems craft
But a dark side exists as it always did
The colour adorned by this particular side
Portrays grandness and a splendid lifestyle
It has glistening eyes
A seductive style which can
Cause the pitfall of a mediocre mind
But can it change a life?
A life of pleasure or of bliss,
Or state of mind with no enclave
As it is plagued by this darker side!
That is just a meaningless lie
As this world is relative,
Relating one to another
A cycle which prolongs such dreary and mundane lives

There is a lot of energy. A huge group of people enjoys the loud energetic live music. They are swaying to the fast paced music. This music is constantly changing in rhythm and tempo and their heads are moving accordingly. The pace begins to rise, the live music becomes louder it reaches a totally new level and the audience loves it. The performers are going wild. The music reaches it climax and the techniques used by these musicians attains complexity and the energy pumps through the entire audience. They could literally feel the bass in their stomachs and the treble in their ears. I was there witnessing this great performance. So were the elephants. Music continued with its new found pace with vigorous momentum. Hey! But, Wait, what are elephants doing in a rock concert? But did I mention it was rock concert? It sure does sound like one most probable a progressive rock concert with high charged energy! But I was not in a college campus nor was I in pub; I was actually in Tali Maha Kshetram on simply Tali temple a famous, sprawling one in the heart of Calicut city.
